The Dogs

Dogs have been depicted in art for millennia. Why would I choose a subject that has received a huge, perhaps inordinate, amount of attention? What could I bring to this subject? The answer is within my relationship to this subject. I think dogs have many roles in our world but they must be contained to perform them. Containment can be in the form of cages, leashes, withholding of food, etc. Everyone loves dogs. A lot. I wonder if they love us as much.
